The 2 looks like it has 2 tails curling up, really 3 if you count the one at the far end of the 2. Dang I wish I could get a better pic, I can see them clearly with my other loupe. It's like I was trying to get inside the coin to get an angle shot to show it. The coin is not in bad shape it just has a dark patina. I was just wondering if you all have seen this before, I was thinking it might be a DDO but?

There are 4 ddo's listed at CopperCoins (010,011,012, and 017 I think) for this date that resemble this one with an extra bar and tails above the date. I'm terrible with 70's copper but I'm sure one of our resident wizards can sum this one up for you. :)

Thank you Tracy, I was comparing this coin to the ones on coppercoins and the tails don't look the same to me. It's like this one has tails and no bar. Thank you for taking a look!

I actually think this is part of the master die doubling.

Thank you very much guys! Yes you are right, Master Die Doubling. I just don't recall seeing these tails on my other MDD examples of 72P's. Probably were in too bad of shape to see them.
