Please take a look and see what this is. I see an indention, but with no damage to the rim or other side of the coin. Just doesn't look like PSD to me. Thank you!

From the glossary:

Die Dent: Any unintentional impression into the die face. The portion of the coin struck by the die dent will show as raised metal.

Thank you very much Will! I have never seen a die dent this big, didn't think it was possible. Now I know :)

The area next to the rim raises from the field to the rim which is die wear... The area just south of the Memorial base and onto the base appears to be incuse (Indentation) which I think is PSD... Unless I am miss understanding your post or not seeing the pic correctly???

Interestingly, you notice these die dents an all 3 examples shown are in the same area. That can't be just a coincidence.

Thank you Jim! You are seeing it correctly, but I was just referring to the raised area at the rim and the indentation to the left of it. I've never seen this before so now I can compare it to other photos of die dents.
