I found this one tonight, it was the second find of the night. This is the first 80's MM variety I've come across.
I could not find this coin on coppercoins (only 3 of the 16 have images), nor is it on Billy's CD...

Can anyone tell which die it is?

Thanks

Cool!

That's 1986D-1MM-001. I don't have images of them because I haven't yet seen them...and I would like to.

Thanks Charles.
I assumed that the reason you didn't have images was that an example hadn't presented itself to you yet. :D

Hard to believe it, but even CC has not yet seen some of the clad errors and varieties. Apparently, some of these will be very valuable, and more soon than later. But there it is, and we should all take note, "must complete variety and doubled set, and sooner". I had not even heard of this one, thanks for the post!.

Legend - a couple of things:

1. Cents are not and never were clad. They are plated...and yes, it makes a big difference.

2. Bob and I own over 500 coins that still need to be photographed for the site, including a number of the zinc cents...it's a matter of time before we can get to them. Listing and photographing coins for the site is a lengthy time consuming process that we have to make time to do. Never assume that we haven't seen examples of unphotographed die varieties. For what it is, coppercoins.com is nice, but it's still a work in progress and will be for at least a few more years to come.

This particular variety, however, I have not seen yet to my knowledge. And yes, they are scarce.
