It has been eons since I have had anything worth posting. Happily, I finally came across a wonderful find in today's change -- a remarkably well preserved 1947 Lincoln Cent. It looks so good, I almost bypassed it all together.

While it doesn't show up clearly in the photos, in person this coin seems less brown and more red. Any insights as to how I may be able to tell if I coin was cleaned?

I realize that this is nothing earth shattering, but I will never bore of Wheat backs.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, and happy hunting!

I don't see any signs of cleaning. I love finding wheats like that.

That is in good shape for a 69 year old coin!!!

Thanks for your input. It looks so good in person, that I'm just stunned that for cent this age, it has such minimal wear. It seems like I find fewer and fewer wheats with each passing year. Haven't seen one in circulation in this condition in .... hmmm, maybe never! :) Thanks again.
