1956 D error?

Hello All,
I am going through several hundred wheaties and I found this one.
I am relatively new to coin collecting some please bear with me.

It is a 56 D with a "bent" D mintmark.
I know there is a 56 D with a shadow D but i do not think this is it.
As you can see there is no other damage to the coin.

Is this a new error/variety?

Any ideas?

Sorry, that is not a mint error. The D took a hit. Post strike damage.

Welcome back. I agree with Roller. You have a hit on the D. It is absolutely without any question damage after the strike. There is also hit on the curl of the 5 and the tail of the 9.

well thats ok - found quite a few BIE errors and filled B's along with some other errors I will be posting soon
