1947 Missing T in Trust

Hello All,
I posted this a while back(pictures weren't that good) but now have a better picture.
So here it is again.

It is missing the vertical bar in the last T in trust, you can still see the crossbar of the T but nothing below it.

Is this a true error or post strike damage?

It is hard to be sure with that much circulation wear. It could be smoothed over damage/wear. Another possibility is this device on the die was partially filled with gunk when it struck the coin.
