You're not going to believe this... 2006 Doubled Die Ear

You know Will sent me a 2006 Doubled Die Ear for placing second in the Valentine's Day Massacre. Well late last night I FOUND ONE!!!! I was getting sleepy and I thought "if I don't find anything in this roll, I'm going to call it a night" And I'll be damn, this was the second coin I picked up out of the roll!!!

This one is an earlier die state than the one Will sent. There is no die crack at the C of Cent.

There may be some truth to... "once you get one, you will find one"

Here's what I would like to do. I want to pass on the good luck coin that Will sent me to someone on the forum who does not have one. I will let you know when I get the first PM from someone on the forum with their address. I will send that person Will's good luck coin!!

This is very true Viv!

The other odd thing is that statistics often prove wrong, like the odds of finding or finding what you look for.

A funny one for me was the 94 DDR, long ago I saw it in the CPG and the URS was 3 but within a few weeks I found several of them.

And the 2006 ear was another anomaly, I had been buying rolls of 2006-P to search for the other 2006 doubled dies and found many of them but out of many boxes I found none of the ear. We hardly ever get P cents here in AZ but I was walking in the airport and picked up a cent in the parking lot and it was the 2006 ear like yours and I've never found another of them.

Some finds just blow away the odds :angel:
