View Full Version : Weak Strike - Greased filled Die? 1995

Hello All,
found an unusual penny today. I have not seen one like this before.
Is this a weak strike? greased filled die?
As you can see a lot of the lettering is missing as well as the date being very faint.

You have a nice coin struck by a grease filled die. If this had been a weak strike the rim , which is fully formed on your coin , would also be weak and not fully formed.
