No...just circulation damage. Keep in mind that a doubled die is made by the die itself being doubled and will make many coins that are exactly the same. Nothing is really "punched" except that the mint mark is punched onto the die all the way until 1989, then it was added to the master die.

I am not picking up any hub doubling. Keep trying. Also send some time though the tutorial threads in the beginner's section and on the home page. Also, reading through the glossary will help you tremendously. Keep trying!

Jamie, if you are looking for your post, I moved it to a new thread here: http://www.lincolncentforum.com/forum/showthread.php?38138-New-User-introduction&p=290551#post290551

I agree with the 1949. The 1963 is rather deceptive but I believe the one took a hit and creating the illusion of an extra 1. The keys are that the 1 is normal sized, instead of bigger, and we should not see such strong doubling strictly confined to just the 1 like that. Thanks for sharing.

Damage to both coins... The first coin - Is that a 1949 or a 1994??? It appears to be a copper plated zinc??? Also it is best to post only one coin per thread... It can get really confusing for us old folks :LOL_Hair:
