Error or damage? 1988 p

Hi all,
I have been away for a bit and my brain is taking its time on remembering.my instinct first says damage and I look at the reverse and say maybe not ? and then I just decided to ask the experts. Thanks for looking !

I'm no expert on these, but I wonder if it might be a partial brockage. We'll probably have to wait for Mike's assessment.

Almost looks like some sort of weird partial brokage... The obv rim has some small areas sticking up tho??? The rev the only damaged area is on the rim... One that the pros will need to see... Nice find... Maybe Will, Bob or Mike Diamond will chime in!!!

I believe it's a partial brockage. Do you see any of the reverse devices in the recessed "cup"?

If there are no incuse design elements in the floor of the depression, then this would be an indent. In other words, an off-center planchet was struck into the obverse face of your coin.
