    It spent 2 years stuck in a commercial dryer. Then is was in the belly of a whale for another 2 years.

    Dryer Coin:
    A coin that has been extremely damaged outside of the mint by being repeatedly hit, similar to what would happen to it if it tumbled around in a dryer or similar device. In an actual dryer, the heat would soften the metal increasing the damage.


    Acid Job: A coin that has been in contact with a corrosive substance causing thinning and often pitting. Even if done intentionally to “clean” a coin, this is considered damage and devalues the coin.

      Those acids in a whale's stomach sure can do a number on a coin! Just think what Jonah must have looked like! Lol

        Poor coin... Destroyed by an acidic solution... I know - We can call them a Jonah Coin
