Good solid pictures. Nice job. If you are looking for feedback/advice about your photos, I can move this to the photography subforum for you. Might get more pertinent feedback there.

Nice Lam pics, sharp and in good focus, good exposure. What are you using to take the pics?

canon rebel T21 with extension tubes and a 50mm macro lens

and the canon software.

The middle one I took after it was getting starting to get dark out so it shows shadowing in the one corner. I didn't have any lights directly on the coin. The lighting was my livingroom lamp and natural daylight

I'm going to try shooting them with the camera and remote. Not using the software. I'll post them when I get them done. May not be the same lams but will give me an idea what way is the best way to do it. With the software or with the camera directly

Either way your pics are great... Love those lams... On the 2nd set of pics the 45D - What does the rev look like... Is there any deformation in the area opposite of the lamination???

this is the edge and back of that coin

Thanks for the extra pics... Did you notice the rev and edge lamination??? On the edge pic just east of the obv lam I can see a split that runs up onto the rim... On the rev pic I can see a lamination running from at least the O of ONE to the rim where the split comes around from the edge... A real nice dual lam... The reason I asked about the rev was to consider if the obv lamination peel was pre strike (Missing prior to strike) or not... If it was pre strike I would have expected to see deformation of the devices in that area on the rev... I believe that is called an inclusion - Can't remember for sure???

How many mm of extension tubes did you use for this shot?

I used a 36 mm and a 12 mm extension tube

OK Thanks!
I was wondering if this image was cropped.

My tinkering with a 36 mm plus 12 mm extension tubes indicates a depth of field of 9 mm at 56 to 64 mm from the front of a 50 mm main lens (same as your setup). Comes out perfect to focus and frame a Lincoln.
I couldn't find anything on Google about the specs for a Canon Rebel T1, so I was wondering how many MegaPixels (MP) was this shot created with: that is, what is this camera model MP rated?.

The Canon T1i is 18MP, 5184 x 3456 pixels.
