What I mean is every 88&89 have wide AM and the FG never looks exactly wrong but seems like if I stare at it long enough I can make it appear as the so called variety . I would appreciate someone showing me a real 88 with an 89 reverse so I can see it on an actual coin someone has .
1988 &89 variety confirmation why is this called a WAM ?

The rev design (RDV-006) for the 1989 was changed... In 1988 (RDV-005) for some reason a worker at the mint used the RDV-006 dies with 1988 obv dies... Hope that helps a little!!!Jim
(A.K.A. Elmer Fudd)Be verwy verwy quiet... I'm hunting coins!!! Good Hunting!!!

The whole WAM and CAM designations were never supposed to be placed on the transitional reverse mishaps from 1988-1989.
