I'm pretty sure this handsome Lincoln found in a bank roll is a coppercoins 1960D-1MM-056 (http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1960&die_id=1960d1mm056&die_state=mds) based on the MM placement only. What do you think? None of the limited die markers found on CC or VV (http://varietyvista.com/02b%20LC%20RPMs%20Vol%202/1960DRPM056.htm) were found. Thanks for looking.

There are so many similar ones like this, without a confirming marker, you are basically stuck with going by the mint mark position. So if that it is an exact match, I would just run with that, because nobody would be able to tell you otherwise anyway. Nice find!

I'm thinking 054. Yours appears to be slightly north of 056, and the way the second punch shows up inside the "D" matches 054 better.

I think JAllen may be correct... VV 054 is one of those that more of the 1st punch shows up in the later die states... Yours looks really close to VVs Stage B... Maybe an early Stage B??? VVs MM close up shows abrasions around the MM... Yours appears to have some also but I can not tell for sure (Vision issues rite now)??? Can you match any of those abrasions???

Will, Jallen and Jim, You all are correct!! I compared the MM position of my coin with -054 of CC and VV examples and they match up perfectly!! Thanks for your help!! I used a technique that Jim showed me and it worked!! Thanks, Larry
