I've been trying to find or cherry this one for a while now. I was able to snatch this one, listed as the D over horizontal D, for $2.25 due to blurred pictures. It was so cheap I thought it was worth the risk. It paid off! It matches stage E on variety vista. Thanks for looking!

Another nice pick... Did you notice the big change in direction of the die abrasions, in relation to the date and MM, from Stage D to Stage E??? I'm surprised there was any detail left on the die:LOL_Hair:
Nicely done. This is one of the coolest rpms in the series. Never really caught on in popularity, but IMO much clearer horizontal punch than the 1909 S/S.

Especially when you consider that the 1909S horizontal D/D is the most prolifically produced die of all of the 1909S dies, it really shouldn't have any premium at all.
A real beauty of a find, Jay. I like this variety too.
Very cool find!! It looks like something I might have done if I had been working at the mint!!

Great pick up!!! I found the 1961 D/D 1MM-001 and 1960 D/D 1MM-001 with in a week in bank boxes.
