Looks to be a partially filled die.

      Not a filled die.

It was from a die made by a broken hub.
The same broken hub was used for one of the hubbings on the big 1936 DDOs. But on those DDOs the dies were hubbed by that broken hub then with a non broken hub.

This coin was made from a die that was only hubbed by the broken hub. They're pretty common.

A coin from a die made only with the broken hub:

A DDO die-2, from a die hubbed by the broken hub and a non broken hub so you see the missing leg in one hubbing then the leg in the other hubbing.

On DDO #2 and #3 the amount of the broken leg remnant that remains visible is one of the die state pickup points.

So sad ... My reverse consumption engine was a broken fuel gauge ... gonna look at coins now. John

Since that broken hub made a bunch of dies, it "shouldn't" really have any extra premium, but I would bet dollars to donuts you could sell it on ebay for a premium. Just be honest about what it is.

On your first coin the 6 is distorted that or my coke bottles are from the heat

Just for the record, this is already in the glossary. Just sayin.' I wasn't just whistling dixie for 6 months. Maybe everyone should actually have a look.

Broken Hub: On occasion, part of the raised design on a hub will chip or break off. When that hub is then used to create a die, the die will be missing that part of the design element, and therefore every subsequent hub, die, or coin spawned by that hub will also be missing that design element. Some of the known years that Lincoln cents have had broken hubs are:
1936 on the R in LIBERTY

1941 on the last T of TRUST

1956 on the bottom of the 6

1969 on the E in CENT

It's a little more thin at the base but it's within normal.

Probably only as a conversation piece, like Will said, you never know on ebay they tend to pay up for things that are easy to see. I like them if you have the 36 DDOs, these make a good addition for showing people the broken R then showing how it looks on the DDOs.
