Found what I believe to be a 1960D-1MM-005 (http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1960&die_id=1960d1mm005&die_state=mds) while roll searching today. I believe it is a VV Stage A (http://varietyvista.com/02b%20LC%20RPMs%20Vol%202/1960DRPM005.htm) because no die markers were found. Thanks for looking.

Edit: Thanks to the eagle eyes of Jim I have to retract my attribution of this 1960D RPM. It is NOT an 005!! Hopefully I will find the correct attribution sometime soon. Thanks for your understanding and patience. Larry

Edit: Thanks to Jim I have found that this Lincoln is a 1960D-1MM-003.

You are right again, Jim!! I'm going back to the drawing board, I mean the coppercoins online reference guide to the Lincoln cent. And here I thought I nailed an easy one!! I'll have to get back to you on this one. Larry

Jim, How does the MM placement look on 1960D-1MM-003 (http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1960&die_id=1960d1mm003&die_state=eds) compared to mine? Thanks, Larry

CC 003 looks about rite... It appears yours has at least some of the abrasions near the date, chin and vest area??? Did you check out VV 003 http://varietyvista.com/02b%20LC%20RPMs%20Vol%202/1960DRPM003.htm VV has Stages A thru J... I can not tell if you have the rev cracks/chips if not then yours should be a Stage A???

Very puzzling, Jim! I see a die chip on the right cornice, a die chip on the upper left base, a depression under left base, but no die chip(s) on the column 1. So my Lincoln doesn't seem to match any of VV's 10 Stages. Maybe the chip or chips have worn off the 1st column. Larry

VV calls the right cornice in Stage B a depression??? Then in Stage C it is a chip... If it is a chip in Stage B (Which it appears to be in my eyes) and not a depression (Which doesn't make sense to me as a depression???) and without the crack on C1 yours would be a mid Stage B??? Unless like you said the crack has worn off the column then it would be a Stage C???

Well, I'm glad we settled that!!! Thanks, Jim!!

Good ol' 1960! Got to love that year from a RPM hunter's prospective.
