It took me years to find my first of this variety but both of these I found in the same week. Certainly not upgrades but with shipping from two different sellers they totaled just over 5 bucks so I couldn't turn them down. Fun finds

Pretty cool picks and they're not really all that hard to spot either

Two very nice finds... Compared to VVs sample http://varietyvista.com/01a%20LC%20Doubled%20Dies%20Vol%201/1925SDDO001.htm your first coin looks to be a late Stage A and the second appears to be a Stage B... Your 2nd coin does not have as much die wear as the Stage C (Most notable on the OD of GOD)... Maybe the folks at VV would like to add your coin to their files... Is the west side of the 2nd coin worn or was the stroke improper??? The L is missing!!!

Jim , I had wondered about that side of the coin as there is a bit of weakness there on both the obvers and reverse. I will weigh it though with wear it may be hard to tell if the planchet had been tapered there.

Can't beat that. I'd take those in a heart beat. Congrats on a nice pickup.

These seem to be coming out of the woodwork recently. I have picked up a few myself since Christmas, but I think I went almost a year before seeing one before that. Its funny how these things go!

Nice! These really jump out at you when you know what to look for. I would love to find a BU model someday. 🤑

Ok... The inside of the rim on the obv and rev do not look like they were worn to make them that wide IMHO... Looks like it was struck with a wide rim and then worn... Not sure how the L disappears either!!!
