2017P Minor DDO?

So far I have only seen 3 2017P's they were all in the same mixed brick. The first one I posted had the lower portion of the Y chopped off. The second one was nothing special. But this 3rd one I found very late last night and it looks like a minor DDO to me. This photo is taken straight on with just a paper filter on the LED's.

Just realized I didn't take a photo of the date, will add it in a few.

Edit: Added photo of date just to confirm coin. Need mo' coffee!

That does appear to be a minor ddo. I've found several 2017, but nothing good yet.

Yep! After some research that boggled my brain... duece2seven stepped in and saved the day :) Ordering the Andonstar like the one he is using!!! Just working out ordering/shipping details right now. I am very impressed with Tracy's photos and it looks like something that's not too complicated that I would enjoy using!!!

Looks like a DDO to me also... I see some notching on the SE corner of TY... Appears to be a little distortion on the east side of the Ts horizontal bar were it joins the vertical (Similar to the T on your 2006)... The west arm of the Y also appears to be thicker than the east arm... Not sure if my vision or the light reflection is messing with me but the 20 looks a little thicker and slightly distorted... Not sure at all about this one but Abes neck looks weird???

As some of the others have mentioned, I think this is a minor DDO as well. Gives hope that something more substantial may surface for the year. Do not discard this one. The upper part of the Y in LIBERTY seems to show the diagnostics of the doubled die.

Thank you very much Bob! I will surely hold onto it and it will be nice to be able to get a better look at it once my new scope gets here! Hoping we do get some nice DDO surprises for 2017!!

Abes neck looks weird???

It does Jim, best I can tell with my loupe, it looks like a die crack. I know that is a highly unlikely area to find a die crack so?? Will look at it some more to make sure my brain/eye connection is not being goofy. Most of the time I can see raised/incuse just fine, every now and then, something strange happens!

Nahh... I'm sure it's PSD, there is an area on the field of PSD headed in that same direction that takes a jump and lands back on the neck.

Last night I was unrolling brick #3 of 4 and it had four 2017P's... nothing special seen on them but it was enough to make me finish unrolling the entire brick. Brick #4 is still unopened. You remember those 2 bricks I had to order over a week ago? Well, they finally came in and I am picking them up tomorrow. Wouldn't it be cool if they are all 2017's!!

ebay is a tempting thought, but I think it would be more fun to look through them. Like GrumpyEd was saying in another post, it is possible to find "many" of the same variety if there's a variety in the brick!

You ain't kidding Jim! They sure do stand out in a mixed roll. Went ahead and unrolled that 4th brick, there were no 2017's in it. But I was happy to spot some pretty Lincoln's, good dates, so I'm fixin' to take a look!
