Don't you just love the ole' die chip in the 8? Nice find this morning!
Here's proof that even with a crappy camera, the die markers can't be disputed, they are "exactly" the same as the discovery doubled die. So, I went ahead and posted the marker photos to compare to Coppercoins.com Die #3.
Now that's what I call a die marker that will grab your attention!! Cool find, Vivien!! Are you still working on the bricks you got recently? Larry J.

Thank you Larry J! Yes I had 6 bricks, now down to 2. Ready to start hitting up the banks for more. I think if I can stay at least 2 bricks ahead, I won't go into panic mode again :)
Actually have 3 left, forgot about the box of just Shield cents, all mixed dates (trying to look at a few handfuls at a time, the glare really gives me a headache!)

A very nice find there! This is one that I have yet to find in the wild, but I have bought and traded for several examples. Not an easy coin to come by, even with the die chip marker! Keep up the great work!

I always liked the 1983 DDOs and this is one of the better ones. Congrats on the find!

Me too Jim, the photos and attributions are awesome, it's very user friendly, and coppercoins.com really goes the extra mile to help beginners with lots of attribution photos and notes!
