Trying out a new lens. Here is the result, first in 2D, then a perspective rendering.

Great image magnification and software to 3D conceptualize it. Is this a Triple? I am trying get an idea how some of the lines were created with only one extra strike.

Excellent images Ray... I'm with UC... That looks like a S/S/S instead of a S/S that VV states http://varietyvista.com/02a%20LC%20RPMs%20Vol%201/1954SRPM004.htm

Hmm, I only see two upper curves, primary and secondary. Where are you guys seeing evidence of the 2nd secondary MM?

There are 2 upper serifs... Between the upper serifs and and center curve is a raised area that does not appear to be from abrasions... It follows the contour of the center curve and is separated from the center curve... It is on both the 2D and 3D image and may actually be touching the edge of the inside serif!!!

OK, you mean the raised area circled in red below:

Sure looks like it could be another secondary MM punch.

That is the NW tip of it... Do you see how it curves down along the primary MMs curve??? If not would you mind if I download your magnified image and point it out???

Jim,
That is part of the upper mintmark.

Jim,
That is part of the upper mintmark.
I think you are correct... The curve seems a little tight to me... Guess I will learn one of these days :LOL_Hair: Thanks Will!!!
