Recently I sent in some coins for attribution by John Wexler and one of the coins listed was a PCGS MS65RD 1926 doubled eyelid cherrypicked off ebay a couple years ago. However, markers were not listed for the coin by John, so I thought I'd go ahead and share what I was able to find based upon another example of the same variety that I cherried on ebay about a month ago or so.

I will try to provide a written summary of the findings eventually, to send to John Wexler for inclusion on his listing, but in the meantime I took photographs of all the markers I found and am sharing the photos below.

If you have a 1926 doubled eye and you think it might be WDDO-003, hopefully this helps. The plate coin is labeled "PLATE" the additional coin is labeled "RAW".

Not easy getting pics of those shiney coins but you did a good job... I am sure Wexler would love to add those to his site!!!

Glad to share. I sent Wexler some of the photos and a description of the more major of the minor markers. Hopefully he lists them.
Obverse: A small die gouge shows just SW of the G in GOD. A small die gouge is present in the center of Lincoln's ear.

Reverse: A small die gouge shows west of the N in CENT. Two parallel light die scratches run NW from the I in UNITED. A small die scratch runs north through the diagonal bar of N in UNITED.

Very minor indeed! Many different angles of light were needed to capture these ones!

Interesting. Nice to see examples in great shape with good markers.

I remember finding the red 26 DDO-1 and it seemed like it was the only red 26 DDO around. Now they have 2 more dies and red examples. Amazing!
Also odd that they're so similar.

Indeed 1926 has turned out to be a good year for high grade doubled eyelids. I have 2 different die states of WDDO-002, both MS 66 RD (ANACS and PCGS). Yet this one is so obvious though I never felt the need to send them in or share them for more marker information.
