Error Die Crack | 1967 P unlisted crack

I found another nice die crack that does not appear in the IDB, RIDB or spikes listings. I did not know if I missed anywhere else to look. Thank you for any input, Jon.

Nice crack... It doesn't appear to be a spike (doesn't make it to the rim)... Not a Bisecting Rim to Rim Die Crack either (RRDC)... Also there is no visible cracks that loop around and reconnect causing a shift in the design which would be a RIDB... No chips that would make it an IDB... Hope that helps a little... So many different possibilities it gets confusing... One thing I am a pro at - Confusion

Thanks Jim! It doesn't appear to go to the rim but was covering all bases. Do the spikes normally start at the rim, inward towards the rim or both?

I do see a small area with die chip at the top of the hair. There is a measurement that BJ and JC go by to determine when a chip is large enough to be an interior die break. This one is too small

Jim gave a very good explanation of a RIDB, if your die crack looped around and touched and you could see where that part shifted, then the die cracked a chunk area but that part stayed intact on the die, thus retained.

Jim is good at seeing shifting on a RIDB, but sometimes we need JC or BJ to decide so it's best to post those.

A spike has to contact the rim otherwise it is classified as a crack... Make sure to check out the link Vivien provided... It can get a little confusing at times!!!
