Found this morning. Yes, this hobby is consuming me.:O
Appears to me [novice] to be an RPM but, will wait for the more experienced (I haven't seen anything this drastic).

We'll see what the pros say but I think it is zinc rot. Pretty cool looking though.

I'm with the others... The area around the MM looks to be sunk in already... The MM will most likely fall out leaving a crater the size of mount St Helens... One of the many faults of copper plated zinc cents!!!

A blister that has deflated in the center (because of rot) creating the appearance of a D.
