Looks to be a later die state than coppercoins.com 1988P-1DO-011 and has markers at the N of ONE to match Wexler's listing. I believe the 9 just took a hit.

Nice find there!!! Good eyes to catch that one!! Sure the hit to the 9 gave you pause enough to slow down and look it closer!!

It sure did Shannon, thank you! I thought this one was going to be difficult to attribute but there are so many strong die markers, it was easy! Made me think maybe there's hope for the 1989 DDO's and possibly the 1973's in my "to do" stack :)

Excellent find Vivien... Attribution looks spot on the rev especially... The split on your 2nd 8 looks like a perfect match and it appears you have the die dot due north of the 2nd 8 that CC points out http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1988&die_id=1988p1do011&die_state=mds
