Hello everyone.
I pulled this one out of a bin of VG stuff a friend of mine asked me to go through.
It looks like a DDO with the 92 being so fat but that could also be wear. It's not Wexler #1 or #2.
The troubling part I see is that the 1 & 5 look normal so maybe / maybe not.
Thought I would see what everyone thought before it hit the bin.

Well Eric, please don't take my word to the bank because I am still in training. My call would be that since the upper curve of the 9 appears flattened then it's more than likely PSD, and from being around since 1925! Would definitely catch my attention too! Looks to be in pretty good shape otherwise for a 1925! Let's see what the guys say!

I would tend to lean toward this being circulation damage. It makes it even more difficult because it is worn smooth.

Any pics of We Trust and Liberty? They could give more hints.
The 9 of the date will not only be fat but should show some proportionality normal thickness just before the upper curve like you see between the lines in my pic of my 25-s ddo-001

John,
Look above in original post - I added some pics.
Everything is FAT on this one including the eye. Wish I could get a decent photo of that but way to circ to stand out. The coins VG

I know Bob, keeps these young Double Die folks looking.. Hopefully they find something in better grade!
When I picked this one up I thought it was just another #1 until I got it home and checked the mintmark location...

Looks like wear to me, Eric. I can see a shelf developing on the the right side of the 9 blending into the fields.
I have 2 or 3 very worn #1's but the bottom right of the 9 still looks raised and fat even with the even wear.
Happy New Year, btw!

I am on the uneven circ wear train... Even the MM is appears flat... Some of the devices still appear non flattened... Looks like it made its rounds in circulation and then put in a drawer for the last 80 or so years!!!

Eric , thanks for the pics !
I have to say the only thing I see that sort of looks interesting is the 1 in the date looks to have a bit of a curve . The 92 may have taken a flatening hit at some point as the 1 & 5 look rather normal in size.
