Not much to look at but I have wanted to find one for a while now. Pulled from my little bag of wheats.

John I would "love" to find a wheat DDO like that! I think it looks awesome... it's a 1930! One of these days I am going to go scouting for a bag or two of wheat's, probably be a long drive! Congrats John!!!

Nice find John... Does yours have the crack on the shoulder??? VV http://varietyvista.com/01a%20LC%20Doubled%20Dies%20Vol%201/1930PDDO002.htm shows a good crack but I can not see it on yours... With the circ wear it may not be visible???

Cool find. I like the Obverse/Reverse pic -- How did you get them in one photo?

Jim , I can not see a crack on Abes shoulder. As you said , circulation may have removed it .

I use a Photoshop program to put the two photos together. The pics were taken with a background that would make this easy.

Cool... Thanks for the follow up... I think yours is an earlier die state than VVs sample http://varietyvista.com/01a%20LC%20Doubled%20Dies%20Vol%201/1930PDDO002.htm I do not see any signs of the chips on your 9 that VV shows and even with the circ wear you should have some remnant there... That leads me to what else I may be seeing on yours - On your date the 1930 appears to have a lightly hubbed 1930 just north of west and strongest on the 19 but weaker on the 30??? May just be my pair of doilies showing thru tho :LOL_Hair:
