I'm not sure on this one, need some better eyes than mine are. It looks like the G drops down but it's not clear, this one was hard to photo because of the glare. Please have a look...............dinkyblue

I'm not 100% but I think it's just a worn die that is spreading the width. I don't see the horizontal serif on the G or the lower vertical serif.

Geez Dan these are tough... what is saying no to me is the vertical of the G, it looks very straight to me.
Every time I have a questionable one like this I have to compare it to photos of the RDV006... haven't found one yet!

I don't see the horizontal serif on the G either, but the bottom of the G looks like it drops down. I compared it to the examples in the glossary and it looks like the the 89 to me, but like you said a spreading out worn die and a lot of glare is more likely. Thanks...............Dan

Right now I wouldn't call it anything. When I turn the image it looks like the bottom of the G drops down, could just be a worn out die like makecents suggested......................Dan

Dan, I compared it, I always have to when one looks questionable. Trust me, I have thought many times I had a keeper :( The way I think about it now is... I want one that shows that nice fat G, no question about it... So now I don't try too hard to see it, it will jump out when it's the one!

I don't see an 006 either. It looks to be die wear or MD.

Looks like a worn die 005 to me also... One way I try to identify the difference is the shape of the G... On the RDV-005 the G looks thinner and elongated north south (stretched) when compared to the RDV-006 G which looks more rounded... Hope that helps a little... These things still get me more often than not!!!
