The MM placement and description look good to me, but I was unable to find any of the CC (http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1960&die_id=1960d1mm036&die_state=lds) or VV (http://varietyvista.com/02b%20LC%20RPMs%20Vol%202/1960DRPM036.htm) die markers. Thanks for looking.

Congrats Larry J! Real nice looking RPM! How can you tell MM placement? Did you do overlays at first and now you are a pro at telling or do you use some kind of measurement system? Thank you for giving us some pointers on this!

Thanks for the follow up Larry... I think that makes a really good marker for identification!!!

I take a pic of my MM and with Paint I place horizontal and vertical lines next to the MM to see where it fits with the date. I then reduce my pic so it will fit next to CC pics as I scroll through for comparison. In that way I can make a side by side comparison. Nothing technical but it is something I can do and it is quick. I keep thinking I should learn how to do overlays, but like lots of things in my life now I can put it off for another day. Now you know my secret. JK Larry J

Nice find, and still in good shape.

Sometimes the joy is in the hunt but it is nice to be able to keep them from the 'to do' pile. Having easily identifiable markers sure helps [in that regard] -- It beats looking for split serifs on every other find. I'm currently going through another batch of 60s coins and at this point have put more in the pile than figured out the correct variety. Wish I had more that looked like yours.

These are tough when there is limited info on them-- I would like to see if there is a way we can build an unofficial library of markers for these coins, time permitting.

...but hard to photograph!!

True that.

Thank you Larry J! I really like your secret and I am going to try it! Overlays are giving me fits right now, maybe when I can get my lighting better it will help.
