This is what I believe to be an RPM-010 -- Mainly from my overlay using CC. Now looking at VV, the MM looks to be more straight-up.:~

It is beat up and the some of the markers from VV (http://www.varietyvista.com/02b%20LC%20RPMs%20Vol%202/1964DRPM010.htm) and CC (http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1964&die_id=1964d1mm010&die_state=mds) seem to be there. I am guessing EDS mainly from the reverse markers on VV.

From CC, mine looks like Die #1 [no mention of two dies on VV] although I do not have the two north-south lines running through the 'N' in 'Cent' but I do have a die chip on the 'N' [see pic - no mention]. I do have some of the upper reverse scratches from Die #1.

Could not find Wexler's 010.

Thanks,

EDIT: not sure why the header states '001' -- I specifically wanted to leave off the number [in case it was not '010']. Aha, autofill.

I am not sure it is CCs 010 http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1964&die_id=1964d1mm010&die_state=mds Your MM looks to be to far south... It is real close on the east/west position and like you stated yours appears rotated a little to much... That could be from wear tho??? If you like I can do an overlay using your date/MM pic???

Yes, when you get a chance. This morning after some [much needed] rest I did overlays using both CC and VV.

With the VV overlay my MM does seem to be a tad south but with CC it seems to be very close except for the little 'stub' coming off the bottom left. Maybe it is from wear or shadows.

Going to try to post some pics of any markers possible.

Thank you for the help and the header correction.

EDIT: the only possible marker image I could get is in the circled area of my pic. I was thinking maybe the arrows show die damage which was why it may have been replaced [or maybe it is just PSD]. I have extremely faint E-W scratches above 'Liberty' but using them as a marker seems to be a bit of a reach.

The second pic shows a die scratch on my coin [black arrow] which is the only other significant obverse marker I see for the date area. The third pic shows the only significant die scratch [for Liberty] on this coin.

With permission from Copper Coins (Thanks Bob) I did an overlay of CCs 010 http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1964&die_id=1964d1mm010&die_state=mds and you are correct it is CCs 010... My location detector system must have been on the fritz :LOL_Hair: Excellent find and job on the attribution!!!

Thanks, thats my goto variety. Lots of D's here.

Though the strategy may be a bit short-sighted since RPMs aren't possible anymore.

I think the numismatic crowd should petition the treasury to begin the hand punching again :LOL_Hair: The 60D RPMs are a great way to hone the skills and go bald :LOL_Hair:
