Thought this one curious enough to post. The coin weighs in at 2.4g and the edge is about 3/4 the normal on the thick side and about 1/2 on the thin. I'm also wondering if there is a vertically misaligned die involved in that the east side is well struck. Or perhaps there was minimum clearance or heavy ram pressure involved. With that much of a weight difference one might expect the entire strike to show weakness.

It sure looks like a 'struck on tapered planchet' George. This one's a little extreme though and that is a pretty good amount of weight missing. I think it is quite collectible.Bob Piazza

Nice find... It looks slightly out of round to me??? On the obv it would be the SSE and rev NNE... Also is there a slight die rotation??? The IN looks weak but on the rev the wheat stalk in the same area looks stronger???Jim
