Found this coin recently and am having a bit of trouble matching it up against the listings, I can faintly make out the die scratch below the E of Cent on the reverse so I think it's #17 on Coppercoins.

When I first looked at it, I thought it might be a hit but I think you may be right! Check out VV's link too, there may be more pics to match up with your coin. VV-008 crossover

Nice find... I think you are correct on it being CCs 017/VV 008... Looks like you may have an obv marker, die scratch, running SSE from the extra eyelid that also appears to be on CCs sample http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1944&die_id=1944p1do017&die_state=lds Yours looks to be a little stronger as I think your coin may be an earlier die stage than the listed samples... On VVs 008 sample http://www.varietyvista.com/01a%20LC%20Doubled%20Dies%20Vol%201/1944PDDO008.htm there is some heavy die wear, mixed in with the circ wear between the obv letters and the rim that does not show on your coin... I also do not see the die flow lines around ONE CENT on yours that show on CCs LDS... Yours may be a new stage CCs MDS/VVs Stage B???
