I wish this baby didn't have the corrosion, but for the price I paid for a top 100 on both CONECA & Wexler's, and a Top 50 on LCR, I will never complain. With the free shipping, if the seller purchased shipping through eBay, it still cost them over $1 more than I paid simply to ship me the coin.

This coin looks to me to be between Stage A & B on Variety Vista. The light die crack from O in ONE to the U points to the 1st reverse die (DMR-005), but mine looks even lighter than VV's Stage B example.

The EDS on Coppercoins looks to be the second reverse die (DMR-006) Stage D on VV.

Here is the link to Wexler's. It is WRPM-002.

The one thing I don't understand is none of the images show the upper curve inside the primary mint mark. The upper curve is very strong inside the primary D on my coin. Thanks for looking!

Very nice picking Jay! I agree on the between Stage A and B and I'm also puzzled why your secondary MM is showing up inside of the primary but not seeing it on the other listed examples. This was a tough one to figure out (die crack from the L to the O and from the U to the O!!) but once I got past that part I definitely see what you are saying!

Very nice pick, congrats!! Could the area inside the mm be MD? It looks like there is some going on with the 1 too. Another thing I noticed is a die scratch that on the east side of the mm, it's running out of the middle of it east southeast. I don't see it on any of the stages but all the other scratches match up. Odd.

Excellent pick Jay... I will need to come back to this one... Your attribution looks spot on except for die stage... I think I can explain it but will need a few to research it... Sorry for the delay!!!

I'm back... By the looks of it yours is a VEDS... The loop inside the primary MM of yours looks like the inside of the secondary MMs upper loop... Due east of your primary MM just west if the 3s lower tip is a die scratch/abrasion running NNE-SSW... It shows on CCs 004 http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1943&die_id=1943d1mm004&die_state=eds and VVs 004 http://varietyvista.com/02a%20LC%20RPMs%20Vol%201/1943DRPM004.htm Stage A, B and C but I can not tell on Wexlers RPM-002 http://doubleddie.com/887255.html however there is an abrasion/scratch off the lower serif running SW that is on all of the samples... The chips (if that's what those are) on the shoulder of yours appears to be on to a greater degree on CCs EDS and on VVs Stage C... It also appears yours has a light crack coming from the lapel headed west that on CCs EDS is highly developed not noted on VVs Stage A and B but shows on C... Hope I didn't confuse you explaining why I think yours is VEDS... As strong as the devices are on yours it looks as if it could have been the 2nd coin out of the die :LOL_Hair: There are a bunch of other items I see but I didn't want to go to far over board... I can always add on to what I have if need be!!!

I can live with that corrosion compared to the rarity of the RPM.
