Still inventorying my collection and found this. It looks like a 1982 P small date. Also above the date are brush marks. Any ideas?

You are correct, it's a small date 82P. Above the date looks like die scratches, either from the mint worker over polishing the die to clean it or from trying to remove a die clash. The full shot of the reverse... is the coin in a plastic flip that is torn at the right top of the Memorial?

Yes. I didn't want to take it out. no gloves.

I had the coin a while, but didn't look close at it. Being in LCM has taught me to look a lot closer.

Nice coin but you might want to try using tape for holding those cardboard flips closed. When I used card board I only needed 2 pieces of tape, one across each corner.

Two advantages: no staples to damage a coin and it reduced the amount of space each flip needed when stored. It increased the storage by 25%-30%.
(I use 2x2 Saflips now to avoid damage from the PVC)
