I don't know, the way it doesn't appear around the date makes me think damage.

Cool looking coin... I think yours is a woodie... The poorly mixed metal does not have to encompass the entire coin... Here is some info from Error Ref http://www.error-ref.com/?s=woodie While the majority of the coin looks like circ wear/PSD the SE quadrant on the obv, which is the NE quadrant on the rev, look consistent enough for me to think it is a woodie... If you could do an overlay you could see what I am thinking... Since I am thinking we are in trouble now :LOL_Hair:
