Not the first time I have picked this RPM, but definitely the first time I found two at the same time from the same seller! Given that both are the same die state, I think it's entirely possible that the seller bought an original roll and is now selling each piece individually. He had at lease 20 1929-S in Red to Red/Brown that he was selling piece by piece. Based on the strength of the secondary punch, and progression of the lathe gouge I'm thinking these are early mid die state. Both are definitely red, but I'd guess they wouldn't grade higher than MS62-63RD given the staining. Thanks for looking, and happy hunting!

Awesome looking wheat RPM's! Great job picking those two from the seller's inventory! I bet you are right... the seller had an original roll of these beauties and is now selling them individually! Way to go!!!

Awesome picks... Do you have clashes on your obv and rev that Wexler i.d.s http://doubleddie.com/959799.html ??? It looks like you do and Wexler has that as a Stage A with the strong clash still showing... The clash remnants weaken in Stage B and later!!!

You have a great eye, yes there is a clash at the throat as described in wexler's guide, thanks for pointing that out!
