Found this coin in my last brick, and just got around to researching it. This is the first example of lathe lines that I have found, and it appears to be a new one too. It is not listed on http://www.errorvariety.com/Lathe-lines/index.html, and I don't know of any other sites that catalog these varieties. Either way, glad to add an example of this variety to my collection!

EDIT: The lathe lines are on the reverse, forgot to clarify that.

I am not familiar with straight lathe lines. What I see here is light blisters probably due to rollers. The only lathe lines I know are circular that are created by a lathe which works in a circular pattern.

Looks like it. Impressive eye-balling. I seriously doubt I would have spotted that during routine searching.

I enlarged your closeup and can see them well in the corners where the columns meet the bays. Nice catch!!

Welcome to the LCF... The error variety site has noy been updated in a while... The author/owner has been under the weather lately... I think yours would be a candidate for inclusion to the site when he gets back up and running again... Nice find and really nice pics for a 1st post... Congrats!!!
