After seeing a few hundred 2017P's that look like WWHO-002, it's kinda nice to see one that is not! Jon has found a few dozen of these... I have a couple of them. One thing that I was wondering is, if any reverses have shown up with markers yet? This one has no reverse markers (just a nasty stain and rolling machine damage).

Nice find Viv!! I think we talked about the lack of reverse markers one other time. I may have even sent all mine to Jim to check out, I'll see if I can find that post. The best I recall though, there were no reverse markers on any of mine.

Thank you Jon! Please let me know what you find out. I think you and I did talk about this before since you had so many of them!

Thank you Jon for the follow up! That is unusual to not see any signs of die cracks at the top of the Shield out of all of the examples you have!

Nice find Vivien... Comparing yours with Wexlers 005 http://doubleddie.com/2318537.html the date on yours looks more than twice the thickness??? Is it the lighting??? Also the abrasions at the neck look off???

Thank you Jim and Jon! Jim I wonder if it's because I am zoomed in more and the lighting. Sometimes I get too close but it's because that is the point where the lighting seems to be cooperating better. If Jon has some markers at RIC, maybe I can match those!

I didn't forget you Viv, just having a hard time coming up with anything. Jim has given me a few cd's of what he's taken pics of but I cannot find the 005 cd. I've searched the site multiple times and have come up empty finding the post he did. I took several pics of the RIC and cannot find the markers. I'll try again tomorrow, too deep tonight...

Thank you Jon! No rush, you know if anyone doesn't get in a big hurry it's me... so take your time! I'll have some time in a day or two to go back and look at the ones I found. I think what Jim is seeing (extra thickness on the date and the die scratches at the neck being off) is my bad pics :)

Jim had a couple of nice markers, I found several little ones in the area he was talking about. Somehow the top two pics ended up being the same coin... Anyway, my pics are not as good as what Jim had but here ya go.:)

Thank you Sheila, Larry J. and Jon! Jon, great job on finding those die dot (gouges) markers on the different examples you have! I absolutely see them and will look at the one in this thread again, as well as the others that I have. I believe they are all the same. How odd that this variety has not shown any Shield die cracks yet!

I will go with ya'll on this being 005... Jon has seen more of these than I and I think the lighting is giving me some visual issues unless of course I need another new pair of Coke Bottles (CBs) :LOL_Hair:

After looking at your far superior pics, I found another nice marker. In the red is the marker from the base of the R to the I and at the northeast of the R is a nice scratch I did not notice before but could see very well on yours. Thanks again Jim for all your hard work!:)

Thank you Jim and Jon! I have had to put this project on the back burner but I appreciate all of your info and Jon's additional marker finds! Heck... am I on the right thread? LOL... I think this is my thread - please forgive me if it's Jon's thread. I will dig my 005's out and compare them soon.

I have not but have not looked either. I'll check them when I get back to see if there are any you have not already pointed out.
