I seem to have something with 1940-s retained cud errors. I think this has to be my fifth or six one that I have found in the last year. I will check COC and see if it is a match.

Yeah, breaks like this are not uncommon during that era. They all look just like that, breaking off in the wheat stalk. That one looks about right at the top but it terminates near the bottom of the S-STATES and yours terminates just above the S. Mark, I scrolled through all of the 1940S pre cuds and I didn't see yours listed. I think yours is a new one - let's see what the guys think!Comment

Nice find... I looked thru the cuds section also and there were no matches... Looks like a totally new find... If all goes well with JC then yours should be RCD-1c-1940S-092R!!!Jim
