I do not see what I think is a match plus a little kicker up in the date. The closest thing I could find in a rotated mm was cc's and VV's 006 but my mm looks very slightly more to the east and my lower serif looks different, plus, zero markers. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for looking, Jon.

Jon, I think you picked the closet one, I can't tell for sure on the MM position but it's darn close. The hit to the bottom serif could be making it difficult to figure out and I'm not sure about the little kicker up in the date. Sorry I'm not much help - I can tell this one came from the aggravation can!

I could be wrong but I don't think my is much more than MDS and what you are seeing at the lower serif looks more like a damaged punch than PSD, I'll try to get a cleaner closeup of that. If that's the case and mine is MDS, then it could not be the same RPM. You are correct, this came straight out of the dreaded can...:)

Here is a pic and I think you are right. Not quite sure how this PSD could happen where it's at and no other damage anywhere else but it does look like PSD.

I cleaned up the coin a little more and the kicker in the date went away.:)

Nice follow up pic and explanation Jon! I do think you are correct in your further investigation! I have really been missing my overlay program because I stink at MM positioning and if I were you that is what I would do to confirm. Maybe Ray can tell me if there is an easy way to do overlays with the software in the Ray system (I need an easy peasy version like the one I was using that now costs a pretty penny to become a member in order to use it)

Jon,
Here is a copy of W012/RPM#06 Stage B. The only marker on stage B that carries over to stage C is the die crack on the Lapel. Here are some pics...
Now back to the Hockey Game GOOO BLUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks to me like you nailed it... The hit on your MM is covering nearly all of the separation lines on the vertical and horizontal bars... On close up look of your serifs I can see what looks like the beginning of the separation line on the upper serif??? Comparing yours with VVs 006 (http://www.varietyvista.com/02a%20LC%20RPMs%20Vol%201/1956DRPM006.htm) I do not see any of the abrasions around your date/MM that show in Stage B... Due to the circ wear I do not think you will be able to see any of the cracks showing in VVs Stage C??? Also on your rev it does not look as if you have the die wear that VV shows off the 1st U of UNUM toward the rim??? Add all that together and I think you have an EDS/Stage A???
