Here is my latest find -- Glad to have found this (Class IV) DD with actual notching and clear/obvious doubling on the date and motto.

It surprised me in that I have been concentrating more on the Class VI doubling with my current batch of LWCs which mainly makes digits fatter.

Sorry for the dark pics, but that is about the only way for me to show the doubling/notching.

Nice find. One of my favorites!
On some uncs it really pops on the date even more than the listings show. It's a neat one, nice on the motto and date.

Awesome find T... Yours looks to be a new Die Stage listing... The die wear showing on your date looks to be LDS??? CC is EDS (http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1942&die_id=1942s1do002&die_state=eds), VV Stage B (http://www.varietyvista.com/01a%20LC%20Doubled%20Dies%20Vol%201/1942SDDO002.htm) and Wexlers 002 (http://doubleddie.com/601255.html) looks to be Stage A/EDS!!!

Thanks,

I tried to get that effect on my avatar but that didn't work out so well.

Thanks,

Yes, I'm working on it. Nearly done, but haven't found anything else of note. Separating out by year then MM then may go through them again to check for DDRs and the 'lesser' DDOs.

Then I still have two cashew cans of 50s LWCs  though I don't think I'll bother with any DDRs from the 50s.
