1982 P LD Copper. DDO or just deterioration?

Alright guys, I have not let one of these get to me in awhile but here we are... No matches to any of the sites. Extra thickness or deterioration with typical 82 aggravation?

I don't see much evidence of die deterioration at all. It seems to be an early die state specimen with relatively sharp edges on the devices. I also don't see a DDO. Could you maybe shoot 'GOD WE' from two different lighting directions?

Holy cow!! The Dream Killer and the King of Rolls all at once, what more could a person ask for!:) Thank you for taking time to check it out guys, I would not have done this unless I REALLY thought I saw something, (stinking 82's). I thought I saw what could be notching but lighting is definitely an issue. Here are the pics from 1/4 turns on each that you both questioned. Thank you very much for looking!

Jon, it's funny that you and I both had an 82 mess with us on the same day. Earlier I was looking at an 82 that I swore looked copper, weighed it and it was zinc. The motto looked huge, biggest I've ever seen and it was perfect looking (no PSD or obvious die deterioration) I debated for awhile and tossed it but I was just seconds away from taking photos and posting it!

We could say it is a DDO but not sure any one would buy that idea but us:LOL_Hair: 82 large dates are nothing compared to SSs (Shiney Shields SAM Super Acronym Man :LOL_Hair:) These are always a tough one for me also!!!

Even after I had loaded all the pics, I hesitated before hitting submit.... I don't know why I still let these get to me but occasionally one will. Will's tip on the field left between the letters has made a huge difference in not having a problem with tossing but this one seemed in between. I understand on the zinc want to be, I've had them fool me before. You made the responsible move, tossing it.:)
