Well, it's not so sunny right now. We've had clouds. But clouds keep the lid on the heat.
I've been collecting coins for 4 years now, and have only been searching for the varieties and errors for a couple of years. Lincoln cents weren't my first choice for collecting - I started with the statehood quarters, then Washington quarters, then Lincoln Cents. Now cents have become one of my favorites.
Hope to enjoy a long stay here. I love to read and learn about cents and other coins. I try to absorb it all like a sponge. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

You will learn alot here, there are many pictures members post. I'm not into photos
and would rather have cortozone shots under both knee caps than take a picture of a coin, although i have done many. You must remember to examine every detail, device, design of every coin to learn to find the variety. As for myself, there is no penny too minor to keep out of circulation. If you question your find, just lay it up for a few days then look at it again--see if it had babies, or mutated, or what you saw before crawled away, or stayed and grew. Have fun!

Welcome to the forum! the more I read, the more I find that I'm not the only "desert-rat"! I spent 4 years up at China Lake, in the early '50's Now I'm a bit farther South, just off the mountain, below Cajon Pass.
