The position is just about correct. Can you put your camera on a faster shutter speed so when you move your hands,"camera" it's not so fuzzy? The pic needs to be clearer if possible. Eric

I use a tri pod but my cameras auto focus is the culprit. But I will change the shutter speed and any other helpful photo tips are welcomed!

Does your camera have a magnifying glass near the shutter that you can press and it will zoom closer? This is an easer way of telling if it's in focus, esp on manual.

no theres no magnifying button just a macro setting (that isnt very good) Maybe its time to get a new camera, any suggestions on a cheap camera with a nice macro lens?
