This was another coin I considered tossing because of the wear and damage but, I figured it was at least worth the effort to try and ID it. 1951 Denvers have a handful of similar RPMs to the east, but only two that were so near to the date [9 & 10] -- So then it became a 50/50 shot.

I was able to clean out most of the grime inside the mint mark in order to see the secondary upper so then I did an overlay with #10 and it lined up well. Then found the reverse marker through the C of AMERICA from CopperCoins to confirm it. The coin is so beat, as you can see, that even getting the minimal pic of that marker was quite difficult. Lots of contact marks and wear.

Thanks for looking.

If you were considering tossing that one then I'd be afraid of what you would do to most of my finds!! JK Thanks, Larry

I hear ya, Larry! Even worse, if Will ever came to my house, I would probably only have half a roll of Lincolns left to my name.:)

I love the challenge of attributing beat-up LWCs so it would have to be quite bad for me to reject it completely.

Uncirculated coins are nice to have, but attributing them is just too easy -- Gotta have my circulated coins.:tinysmile_classes_t
