Greeting to all,

Many of you I know from other forums! I have used this site for seemingly years, and even joined officially a few months ago, but just read threads, but I guess I will post to get the "nag" off of me.

Retired college professor after 36 yrs. Have collected for more than that. I am in the southern california desert, and one of my other hobbies is gemmology and faceting. I specialize in varieties and especially in Lincoln cents, but will collect anything that seems like a good idea at the time.

Welcome to the forum, Jim! it is nice to see "old friends" I was up to Victorville, today, visiting my grand-daughter, and her two kids. Lots of fun! she went snow-boarding, and had an accident, which buckled her knee backwards. They operated on her a couple days ago, and she is still on crutches, Otherwise Okay. I'm about 50 miles south.
