Cool... I found a pic one time of the mint showing a poster in the background of the striking pressures of different coins (I will need to re-find the web page) and posted it on the forum and if memory serves me correctly it was 80 tons of striking pressure on the lincoln cents??? Makes one wonder how the dies are able to last as long as they do!!!Jim

I hope you find that photo. Would love to see it. I’m a sucker for old industrial photos. As far as the die crack is concerned, I posted a 1998 pre-cud 25c on another error site yesterday too. Was pleasantly pleased to come across one that wasn’t listed. The close-ups were hard to take but I think I got them on this one. I don’t post other denominations on this site but I think it’s okay as I have seen others do so in the general discussion section in the past. This site, from what I see gets more active users on a daily basis in my opinion anyway.Cool... Edit: I do like the other site a lot! I just like this one because a lot of regulars are always helping. Enthusiastic about coins I guessComment

You can always post other denominations in the off topic section... I found this on the US mints site scroll down to step 5... It doesn't specify which coins or pressure except for the except for 1 but gives a range... I will look for the other article!!!Jim

I still can not find that article... No idea where I put the link or where I found it... I will continue the search though... Just for info - 1 metric ton equals about 2204.62 pounds or a lot of pressure!!!Jim
