1938D RPM2 [pre-DDR1]

This is a copy of RPM2 (http://www.varietyvista.com/02a%20LC%20RPMs%20Vol%201/1938DRPM002.htm) / 1MM2 (https://coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1938&die_id=1938d1mm002&die_state=lds) before it was mated with DDR1. I already had a few copies of the dual variety so decided that it was good to have one in an earlier die state. Based on CopperCoins.com and DoubledDies.com descriptions this one appears to be stage/state B.

The reverse die crack in the seller's pic [circled in blue] sealed the deal since I couldn't be certain on the obverse pic if I could see the RPM or if the location was precise.

Excellent pick... I think you are correct on the Stage B with the scratches being abraded away especially the ones next to the MMs vertical bar that VV (http://www.varietyvista.com/02a%20LC%20RPMs%20Vol%201/1938DRPM002.htm) shows on Stage A!!!
