1972-P DDO-9 FS-109

In an earlier post I mentioned that I saw this coin at a show in the half-price bin and thought that it was MDD because I thought the guy had labeled it as 33.54 [FS-104] and I knew that was incorrect.

Decided to go back and check it again and [as the pic shows] it was actually labeled correctly as 33.59 which is DDO-9, FS-109 so I decided to get it. Not sure what it should go for [price-wise], but it was one I did not have... until now.

Pics were with a phone-cam so not great.

Makes absolutely zero sense this has an FS# at all. Someone explain it to me.

I wondered the same thing.....but....I never found one even though I did find #1-8.

While there is also a rarity factor, I've also noticed a strong correlation between coins that are hard to find and coins that nobody is looking for. :)

Edit: well, I might be wrong again. A quick search shows that people who do search have a lot of them. We miss you, Rock!
