Yes I would agree. It definitely got smacked. Had a 1946-D which looked as tough it had an upside down separate D. Will locate it and photo it..

However, this topic jogged my memory and reminded me I found a bunch of 1960-Ds found in several BU rolls ( approx 10 or twelve ) with what seemed to be a separate D laying ON Lincoln's vest . Similar a 1953-D WRPM-040 RPM-038 D/D South and "D" IN vest but not as strong. Will see if I can dig'em up. If the extremely light MM can be seen will post that too.

well ...dug up a few crazy oddities ... also a pic of that 1960-D. Though under the QX3 it does not look very clear as under a glass..

Anyway here is some other ... as George Carlin would say "stuff"

Oh ... the others are a 1942 missing "s" in trust. 36 missing most of left leg or R. ( Wiles book page #5 and ARLC ) a 1940S High Grade Die Crack Rev. Have tons of these OBV REV Die cracks ...very common.. and a few pics of some 22-Ds w/ Die Cracks REV
